The Honduran coffees are easy to overlook because of their reputation for being mild, but this would be a mistake. Grown between the borders of Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua, these are robust and easy drinking coffees.
Their flavor profile is known for being nutty and chocolate like other south American coffees. While brewing, notes of vanilla and hazelnut are common.
Grown at elevations above 1,100 meters (up to 1,600 meters), they're allowed to develop slowly, which really brings out the flavor.
This is a good coffee in a medium roast, but most people typically enjoy this roasted a little darker or all the way through an espresso roast.
